It was clear that this issue with money has a hold on his
self-esteem and his ego. I think many men have the same concerns and
insecurities over not being able to provide for their
partners/mates/girlfriends/wives in the manner to which they are
accustomed. Next to the size of their penises, I think how much they
make and what kind of a provider they are ranks up there in terms of
importance.
My friend B. told me that I seriously underestimated the pressure that women put on each other to live a certain lifestyle. He implied that there was some kind of unspoken competition between women as to whose husband was the better provider. I don't buy that at all. Do you?

I think women compare themselves to each other with envy many times [I know this because I hear them talking about their girl friends behind their backs] and more then men do, but all people tend to do this to a degree. I have done it with my male and female friends.
People make statements like this man [or person] should be here and have this at this stage of life and that is doing pretty much what your saying.
Women look to men for emotional and physically protection/support so of course they heap expectations on their men. The rare gem of a women which loves a man for his personality and will be with him even if he does not have a lot should married or at least committed to. Yet these women are mostly taken and I can say being an active dater few and fare between.
